In February 2013, the SSC-R Manila Center for Culture and the Arts organized a celebration of the Philippine National Arts Month. Part of the celebration is an exhibit entitled In Transitu. It intended to feature various degrees or types of transformation or change, journey, flight, transit. These various types of change or transit may be physical, spiritual, political, or anything, and may talk about matters of love, life, and others.

Various Filipino artists participated in this exhibit, students and professionals alike. Some of the art works exhibited are shown here; the others cannot be shown here such as the Babylon” painting of Alfredo Juan Aquilizan; “Id 2″ (mixed media) work of Juni Salvador; the wood painting of Rev. Fr. Rene Paglinawan; the “Ang Pamamaalam ng Makabagong Diyos” (an installation of old computer units) by Joey Vargas; the Persona masks by Kulay Labitigan; the photos of Jeram P. Apostol; “Resemblance of Eva,” “Resemblance of Adan,” and “Et Filii (Ang Anak)” paintings of Kirt Faustino.

is currently taking his MA in Araling Pilipino at UP Diliman. He graduated cum laude from the BA Communication Arts degree program of UPLB. His illustrations have appeared in bulatlat.com, UP Forum, The Global Journal of Monsters and the Monstrous, Kritika Kultura, among others; and his artworks have been exhibited in UPLB (Artists’ ARREST’s Factsheet art exhibits, UP Painters’ Club’s Opus Elbi, KarMa Kolektib’s SIKLAB), Vargas Museum (Placard: Sign of the Times), and other public spaces such as schools and the streets (Factsheet art exhibits). His komix have appeared in the Quarterly Bathroom Companion Comics Compendium and Plague 2. He plans another komix project soon. He resides at the carcosite (http://carcosite.blosgspot.com).

is a social and political activist, and a visual artist. He served as UPLB’s USC Chairperson during the Academic Year 2007-2008. He is presently the Secretary General of the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan in Southern Tagalog. 

Of the works in this gallery, he says: “Ito po ay mga larawan kuha sa Brgy Andap New Bataan Compostela Valley noong Disyembre, matapos ang Bagyong Pablo. Ang mga titulo ay nakabatay sa iba’t-ibang pakiramdam ng mamamayan matapos ang mapait na trahedya. At higit sa lahat, ang mamamayan ay hindi basta nawawalan ng pag-asa.
