To reiterate the importance of exercise in nutrition, the TLE and Bit Club of Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino – Recoletos had the Nutrition Month start off and end up with a “Dancercise.”
July 8 marked the opening of the Nutrition month and July 25 was chosen as the schedule of its culmination day. The culmination day kicked off with the usual morning rituals followed by something which made every Nicolasian sweat – the Dancercise. In their PE uniforms, elementary pupils and high school students danced to the beat of “5, 6, 7, 8”, a dancing craze from British pop group, Steps. What then came afterwards was the “Food Display”, a per-section exhibit of the three basic food groups- go grow and glow. The 2nd Year- St. Magdalene of Nagasaki class under the advisory of Mrs. Maluna S. Catalogo received the first place with their table of food reflecting the food pyramid.
