The theme “Kindling the heart, empowering the mind, for responsible stewardship” tingled each and every Nicolasian as Colegio San Nicolas de 
Tolentino- Recoletos officially opened the “Rekoleto Year” last June 22, 2011.
The “Mass of the Holy Spirit” commenced the grand opening of the Rekoleto Year. With the presence of Fr. Emeterio Buñao, Fr. Pedro Escanillas, and Fr. Jose Alve together with the school director and principal of CSNT-R,Fr. Jose Ernil F. Almayo, the mass didn’t just become an assembly of Nicholasians from the elementary and high school department but also had become a cordial participative visit of very important religious people from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Bacolod. The solemnity of the mass concelebrated by Fr. Buñao, Fr. Alve and Fr. Jose Ernil Almayo heightened as the songs of the Coro de San Nicolas and the keyboard played by Fr. Leo G. Alaras filled the ears of everyone.
