The Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) of San Sebastian College- Recoletos, Manila is directly under the Office of the President of the College. At present, the office is headed by Rev. Fr. Leonardo Paulige, OAR, who oversees the functioning of all aspects of the department. Generally, the HRDC performs the following functions:
1.HR Planning – It refers to the regular audit of HR functions through surveys among the other members of the institution. Recruitment, Selection, Placement – the HRDC conducts the initial screening of all applicants from the Maintenance Personnel up to the College Faculty through interviews and psychometrics.

2.The Office also facilitates the monitoring of the movement of the procedures and the employee orientation at the final stage.
3.Job Design – The office aids in the formulation of specific job descriptions necessary in the proper and conflict-free conduct of duties and responsibilities and Non-teaching personnel.
4.Performance Management- It refers to the semestral and annual evaluations conducted by the Office across all categories.
5.Benefits – The HRDC facilitates the application of leave as well as the health benefits of employees with Maxicare as the School’s health care provider.
6.Training – conducts in-house regular seminars with employees: College, High School and Grade School and the Non-teaching group composed of the ANTF (Academic Non-teaching Faculty), OPS (Office Personnel/Staff) and MP (Maintenance Personnel) both for behavioral and skill enhancement.
