Sebastinian Office of Legal Aid

Description

After securing the necessary permit from the Supreme Court, the Sebastinian Office of Legal Aid (SOLA) was formally opened on August 28, 1992, in honor of Saint Augustine of Hippo.
The SOLA offers free, accessible, ethical and quality legal representation, assistance and advice to indigent persons in selected criminal, civil, labor and administrative cases. The office provides such services through its Executive Director, Supervising Lawyers and Law Interns engaged in limited practice of law under Rule 138-A of the Rules of Court, also known as the Law Student Practice Rule.
By authority of such Rule, these Law Interns put into practice their knowledge of the law by providing legal advice, preparing documents and pleadings, and representation in the Court of Law and other Quasi-Judicial Agencies on behalf of the SOLA clients.
At present, the SOLA is being managed by its Executive Director Atty. Edgardo Alexander O. Gayos, under the supervision of San Sebastian College-Recoletos College of Law Dean Atty. Teodoro A. Pastrana and Associate Dean Atty. Rolly Francis C. Peoro.
