The Research Department was able to rekindle the research climate among the Sebastinians in cooperation with all departments. Among the activities implemented in order to encourage the Sebastinians to engage in research are as follows:
- Purchased Grammarly software for the checking of grammar and Turnitin software for the checking of plagiarized works;
- Hold a research colloquium for the students last March 2017;
- The 2nd Research Colloquium for faculty was held at the Bar Review Center last November 29 with the following paper presenters:
- Francisco Riodique “A Critique of Realism (Scientific Realism) Towards a Normative Theory of International Relations.”
- Paul Micah Francisco “An Important Lesson from the European Union to Address Global Environmental Problems: Cosmopolitan Democracy for the Asean and the World.”
- Ethel Magalona Cruz “Self-Motivation and Job Satisfaction among SSC-R Collegiate Faculty: Input for Enhancing Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCBs)
- Rachel G.Franco “Determinants Influential to the Retention Decisions of the Students in SSCR-Manila.”
- Paul Micah S. Francisco; Virlyn Jaime-Francisco “Ang Pagbuong Identidad Ng Pilipino Mula Sa Nagtatagisang Salaysay Ng Rebolusyon 1896 sa Ebolusyon Ng Historiograpiyang Pilipino”
