Description
The Senior High School (SHS) program of SSC-R Manila offers two additional two (2) years (Grades 11 and 12) in compliance with the K to 12 program of the Department of Education (DepEd) and in order to address the need to academically prepare students to be ready to meet the demands of the local and global communities. It is in this light that San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila became a pilot school that offered SHS program a year earlier than the mandated school year of implementation.
The SHS of SSC-R, Manila offered four (4) strands of the academic track, namely: Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM), General Academic Strand (GAS), Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS), and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
SHS creates the following opportunities: Standard requirements will be applied to make sure graduates are ready for work. In SSC-R Manila, the students are prepared so that they are qualified to apply for TESDA Certificates of Competency (COCs) and National Certificates (NCs) to provide them with better work opportunities if they opt to work after graduation.

HUMSS is the strand that attracts students who love the Classics/Classical Ideas. The type of individuals who ask the question, what is on the other side of the wall, people who are curious about the things around them. They are the students who love reading, the people who read today who will lead tomorrow.
Subjects in HUMSS tap the potentials of the students, lead them to their academic inclinations and hone their skills in reading and writing, which enhances at the same time the students skills in public speaking. HUMSS graduates are hired as clerks, customers service representatives and call center agents

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
STEM promotes the development of students’ scientific minds towards excellence in Science, Technology, and Engineering.
The STEM strand equips the students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude for science and technology-oriented programs in tertiary education by providing a solid foundation in Math with Calculus and Science with Physics, Biology and Chemistry. The STEM strand prepares the students in addressing school and community environmental issues by being equipped with technical knowledge and skills in Research and by being able to collaboratively work with a team.
