Universitaria Agustiniana of Colombia signs Memorandum of Understanding with SSC-R

Last February 7, officials from Universitaria Agustiniana, Fr. Carlos Alberto Villabona Vargas, OAR and Dr. Ricardo Rojas Lopez, signed the memorandum of understanding with Rev. Fr. Emeterio Bunao, OAR (Vice-President for Administration) and Rev. Fr. Nemesio Tolentin, OAR (School President) as signatories from SSC-R.

The MOU with Universitaria Agustiniana consist of an agreement with the possibility of developing programs of high quality to advance necessities of both schools.

The visit aims to explore possible tie-ups with the University of San Jose Recoletos and University of Negros Occidental Recoletos.

The community has prepared a ceremonial welcoming to the visitors with the selected grade school and high school students. Upon arrival of the visitors, they were immediately directed to the Office of the President for the courtesy call. After which, the welcome program followed.

The program were participated by the students from grade school to college. Fr. Villabona, President of Universitaria Agustiniana, and Dr. Lopez, Vice President of University of Augustiniana talked about the Recollect School Apostolate in Colombia. After the talk, there was an open forum to discuss deeper about the Recollect Apostolate in Colombia.

After the welcome program, a meeting between Universitaria Agustiniana and SSC-R religious and lay administrators and academic heads was held at the seminar room. The said meeting aims to present information and discussion about the possible areas of collaboration between Universitaria Augustiniana and SSC-R.
Fr. Vargas and Dr. Lopez visit ends with a campus and basilica tour.
