Another milestone for San Sebastian College-Recoletos Manila was the first Top Partner Schools Recognition and Seminar conducted last September 6, 2019. The event was also graced by all Religious and Lay Administrators, Supervisors, Program Chairs, Coordinators, SDPC Staff and Committee members. Twenty-four (24) School administrators from fifteen (15) Schools in Metro Manila attended the event. The partner schools also attended were ADT Montessori School, Cainta Catholic College, Dominican School Manila, Holy Trinity Academy, Our Lady of Fatima Parochial School Educational Center, Immaculate Conception Academy Manila, Nazarene Catholic School, NFWC Filomenita Child Development Center, Our lady of Perpetual Succor College, Pasig Catholic College, P. Gomez Elementary School, Ramon Magsaysay High School-Cubao, Regina Carmeli, St. Lino Science High School, and Today for Tomorrow.
The first part of the program was the lecture-seminar on the “Leadership Management in a School Setting” held at Fr. Domingo Carceller OAR Hall (Little Theater). The opening prayer was led by Mr. Jay A. Ramirez, Head, External Affairs Office and followed by the welcome remarks of Rev. Fr. Antonio S. Limchaypo, OAR, VP for Student Welfare. In his remarks, Fr. Limchaypo shared the possible areas for linkage that SSC-R Manila could offer to the Partner Schools. He further mentioned that SSC-R Manila is always ready to extend help to schools who are seeking assistance for facilities, venues, consultation, benchmarking, sports-related activities, scholarships, and others.
Dr. Juliet Baltazar, the JHS Principal introduced Dr. Eduardo “Edza” Zialcita, JHS Alumnus batch 1967, as the guest speaker. Dr. Zialcita shared his experiences as an honor student, a student leader, an officer and a member of different student organizations when he was studying at SSC-R Manila. He further shared his brilliant mind on the challenges of leadership in the administration of academic institutions.
The second part of the activity was the recognition of SSC-R Manila’s Top Partner Schools for having their graduates enrolled, studied and finished in the different programs in all levels of SSC-R Manila. It was held at the School’s Coffee Shop. Plaque of Appreciation and tokens were awarded and given to the Schools by Rev. Fr. Nemesio D. Tolentin, OAR and Rev. Fr. Antonio S. Limchaypo, OAR.
Several representatives from the partner schools were given opportunities to share their insights and expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to them. The School President also delivered his inspirational message. The event ended with a get-together lunch and socialization.
