CHED grants DEREGULATED STATUS to SSC-R

San Sebastian College-Recoletos is now granted Deregulated Status for a period of Three (3) Years from April 1, 2016 to May 31, 2019 by the Commission on Higher Education.

Last April 13 the Commission on Higher Education released a memorandum order (CMO No. 20) with the lists of educational institutions that complied with the CMO No. 46: Policy-Standard to Enhance Quality Assurance (QA) in Philippine Higher Education Through an Outcomes-based and Typology-based QA.

Since SSC-R, is under the deregulated status, graduates are exempted from the issuance of Special Order and the school is exempted from CHED’s regular monitoring and evaluation.

Furthermore, other Recoletos schools that are administered by the Recoletos priests were granted Autonomous Status for a period of Three (3) Years from April 1, 2016 to May 31, 2019: the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) in Cebu City and University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos (UNO-R) in Bacolod City.
