GS SDPC conducts Anti-Bullying Campaign

The Grade School Student Development and Placement Center (SDPC) conducted an Anti-Bullying Seminar with the theme “Baste R.O.C.K.S: Reaching Out with Character and Kindness) Basty is a BUDDY NOT A BULLY!” held last August 3, at the Bar Review Center, 5th floor, St. Augustine Bldg. It was attended by Grades 4-6 pupils.

This year’s anti-bullying campaign was sponsored by PediaPharma Foundation, which advocates anti-bullying.

Dr. Shake Marie Guevarra-Hocson, RGC, RP, Far Eastern University Guidance Director, served as the speaker. Duiring the seminar, other than merely discussing what bullying is, Hocson also presented as illustration the types of bullying, followed by a presentation of advices and tips on how not to be a bully and how to handle bullying. Then, an interaction between the audience and the speaker ensued after Hocson’s presentation.

Rev. Fr. Rene Paglinawan, OAR, Director for Basic Education and the school’s Assistant Chaplain, graced the event.
Mrs. Mary Jane DV. Bautista, SDPC Head, gave the closing remarks, in which she encouraged and admonished the Sebastinian students not to be a bully but to be a buddy.
