The San Sebastian College-Recoletos Manila’s new school board members convened on June 9 to discuss their appointments to respective administrative positions.
Last June 15, with the Sebastinian community eagerly waiting for said appointments, the Office of the President issued a memorandum announcing the new set of administrators who will serve for the triennium, Academic Years 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018. These administrators may be categorized into three: the “Newcomers”, the “Second Timers” and the “Returnees”.
Among the Newcomers are Rev. Fr. Ferdinand V. Fornilos, OAR (Vice President for Academic Affairs); Rev. Fr. Rouel M. Sia, OAR (Vice President for Finance and ICT Director); Rev. Fr. Glynn C. Ortega, OAR (Vice President for Student Welfare and Director for Scholarship Program); and Rev. Fr. Gaudencio Geronimo L. de Mesa, Jr., OAR (Dean for Religious Education).
The “Second Timers” are Rev. Fr. Excel B. Saycon, OAR remaining as the Property Administrator and Rev. Fr. Gideon Antolin U. Lagrimas, OAR who is appointed as the Vice President for Religious Affairs, Head of the Campus Ministry Office, and Director of the Sebastinian Outreach Foundation, Inc.
Lastly, the set of administrators that belong to the “Returnees” includes Rev. Fr. Emeterio D. Buñao, OAR (Vice President for Administration and Director for Human Resource and Development Center); Rev. Fr. Rene F. Paglinawan, OAR (Director for Basic Education and Assistant Chaplain); and the new President, Rev. Fr. Nemesio D. Tolentin, OAR.
The Sebastinian community is looking forward to working with the new religious administrators and expects that they would strive to work towards the institution’s vision in the next three years.
