The Academics and Research Division headed by Dr. Catherine Q. Castaneda, Vice President for Academics and Research along with Dr. Rodrigo F. Ponce Jr., Dean of the Institute of Graduate Studies of San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila hosted Mr. Yin Chaohua, Vice President of Chongqing Creation Vocational College (CCVC) during his official visit yesterday, August 15, 2023.

The SSC-R Law Moot Court Team bagged the championship title in the first ever Philippine Moot Court Competition on Competition Law on July 21, 2023.

The School Board has officially announced the appointment of Dr. Catherine Q. Castañeda as the Vice-President for Academics and Research/OIC, College Dean for School Year 2023-2024 (Term: 01 June 2023 – 31 July 2024) last June 24, 2023.

Rev. Fr. Rafael B. Pecson, O.A.R., was officially installed as the 19th School President of San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila during the Investiture Rites on October 5.

As the new school year opens, the public schools’ program of “Brigada Eskwela sa Paghahanda” is once again on the go. For this year’s theme “Tugon sa Hamon na Ligtas na Balik-aral”, the Department of Education (DepEd) has invited the private schools and civic sectors as well to share their resources to public schools as they prepare for the opening of the school year 2022-2023.

On August 1, 2022, San Sebastian College-Recoletos, Manila has officially announced its transition to R-HyFlex or Recoletos Hybrid Flexible Learning modality for academic year 2022 -2023.

San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila has passed the school health and safety inspection conducted by the City Government of Manila, marking another milestone towards the anticipated return to face-to-face classes. This means SSC-R Manila is compliant with the local government’s health and safety regulations and is approved to conduct face-to-face classes.

A virtual ceremony for the Service Awards 2022 was preferred by the majority of the awardees through a survey conducted. The awardees were presented to the school community through a video streamed via Stags, the official Facebook page of San Sebastian College-Recoletos Manila on March 30, 2:30 p.m.

On March 29, 2022, second day of the 81st Foundation Day Celebration, at least 30 volunteers from San Sebastinian College-Recoletos Manila (SSC-R) visited the Livelihood Education and Rehabilitation Center (LERC), in Brgy. Malaria, North Caloocan City.

Selected college students of San Sebastian College-Recoletos (SSC-R) attended the Manila leg of the GMA Masterclass Series 2022 which started last March 31, 2022.
